GISTDA UTILIZES SPACE TECHNOLOGY TO FIGHT FRAUD AND SUPPORT PUBLIC ASSET MANAGEMENT

On February 7, 2025, Thailand held an official press conference announcing its role as host for these prestigious international events. The summits will serve as a platform for world leaders and industry experts to shape the future of the global economy, wellness, sustainability, and investment.

At the event, Dr. Siriluk Prukpitikul, Deputy Executive Director of GISTDA, was a Top Keynote Speaker, sharing insights on climate change, PM 2.5, and carbon credits for sustainability. The discussions took place at Pinnacle Hall, 4th floor, Bangkok, Thailand.

ADDRESSING PM 2.5: A GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS

PM 2.5 pollution is a critical issue affecting Thailand and many parts of the world, including China, India, and Europe. During peak pollution periods, air quality reaches hazardous levels, posing severe health risks. Thailand, particularly Bangkok and Chiang Mai, frequently experiences PM 2.5 crises during the dry season.

To combat this, GISTDA has developed the 'Check Dust' mobile application, allowing users to monitor real-time PM 2.5 levels and take precautionary measures. This technology utilizes high-resolution satellite imagery, advanced remote sensing, and AI-based analysis to track and predict PM 2.5 levels hourly. Governments, businesses, and individuals can leverage this knowledge to implement proactive measures for public health and environmental sustainability.
